Introduction

To simplify this process, we developed ReynScanner, a Flutter-based mobile application integrated with ERPNext. The application enables users to scan business cards, extract contact information using OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and instantly create leads in ERPNext.

1. Business Card Scanning
Users can capture a business card directly using their mobile device camera. The application processes the image using OCR technology and automatically extracts important details such as:
- Contact Name
- Company Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Designation (when available)
- Address (if detected)
The extracted information is automatically mapped to the corresponding ERPNext Lead fields, minimizing manual effort.
2. Upload Business Card from Gallery
In addition to capturing a new image, users can select an existing business card from the device gallery.
Once selected, the application automatically analyzes the image and extracts the relevant contact information, allowing users to create leads within seconds.
3. Manual Lead Creation
Not every lead originates from a business card. ReynScanner also provides a simple interface for manually entering lead information.
Users can create leads by directly filling in the required fields, making the application suitable for both scanned and manually collected contacts.
4. Seamless ERPNext Integration
The application is fully integrated with ERPNext CRM.
Once the information is verified, users can submit the lead directly to ERPNext without switching applications. This ensures that all lead records remain centralized and immediately available to the sales team.
5. Automatic Acknowledgment Email
After a lead is successfully created, ReynScanner automatically drafts and sends an acknowledgment email to the customer's email address.
